Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy

Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy is an operation performed for the dysfunction of the gallbladder, an organ playing an important role in digestion. This organ, located in the upper right part of the abdominal cavity, must be surgically removed in cases such as stone formation, polyp or cancer.

While this surgery was previously performed using the open technique, if there is no obvious contraindication, it is now performed using the closed method. The gallbladder is completely removed with the help of cameras and other tools placed with a some small incisions, and the patient returns to daily life and activities in a short time.
