Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

This procedure is the examination of the upper part of the digestive system, which consists of the oral cavity, esophagus, stomach, and duodenum.

It is performed for the purpose of direct observation of the part to be examined, taking tissue samples when necessary and for treatment purposes in some cases, by entering through the mouth of the patient with a light source and camera at the end of a long hose.

Endoscopy is an outpatient procedure that does not require hospitalization.

In our clinic, pre-operative and post-operative control endoscopies of patients who are candidates for surgery are particularly emphasized.
